Introduction to Latin America I, LAST 1010, Instructor of Record

This course is an introduction to Latin American history, starting with indigenous societies in Mesoamerica and South America and ending with contemporary social movements. I designed the syllabus, created the course website on Canvas, instructed the course in person with the option for students to attend via Zoom, created and graded the exams, evaluated student presentations, held office hours, and organized students’ 20-hour service-learning experiences with local nonprofit organizations and schools.

Introduction to Latin America II, LAST 1020, Instructor of Record

This course covers topics such as social movements, activism, nationalism, and postcolonialism in Latin America. I designed the syllabus, created the course website on Canvas, instructed the course in person with the option for students to attend via Zoom, created and graded the exams, evaluated student presentations, held office hours, transitioned the course to be online during the COVID-19 pandemic, and organized students’ 20-hour service-learning experiences with local nonprofit organizations and schools.

Topics in Community Engagement, SRVC 4890, Staff Instructor

This course is designed by Tulane University’s Center for Public Service for students participating in their Internship Program with a 60-hour internship component. I lead class discussions, instruct the course in person with the option for students to attend via Zoom, evaluate students’ essays and assignments, and communicate with the students’ internship supervisors.

Intermediate Spanish II Hybrid, Adjunct Instructor

This hybrid course covers intermediate Spanish grammar and vocabulary. I designed and taught the in-person lessons and activities, administered and graded exams, held office hours, and evaluated students’ performance in the online platform associated with the course textbook.
